Are you looking for a new professional path in 2022?

Fear and uncertainty are holding you back from making a move!

Do you know?

Full-time workers spend an average of 80,000 hours at work throughout their careers. Even if you're not passionate about your work, thousands of hours could be wasted on something you don't even care about if you choose the wrong vocation.

As a matter of fact, who has the time for this?

You may be wondering where to begin when contemplating a career change.

Our philosophy at GetWork is built on the idea that everything comes down to the questions you ask, the industry awareness you develop, and the ability to make more deliberate decisions based on your dream career.

Outline your answers to the following questions:

  • Indicators of worth - What are your professional life priorities? What are the things that you will not compromise on?
  • Is there anything you excel at? - Your career thus far has taught you a lot about how to create value. What have you learned about that? Are you good at your desired skills?
  • Area of Interest-A person's interests can be summed up in one word: hobbies. When you're doing something you enjoy, it's a natural flow.

Every decision you make sets you on a path toward a future image of yourself.

The more deliberate you can make these decisions and the more founded your reasoning, the more influence you'll have over your job and personal lives.

Here are 5 Steps to Approach a Career Change:

1) Have the luxury of time to make the appropriate choice.

Do you have a personal runway - to take an honest look and arrive at a position where you're convinced you're making the appropriate choice?

While working full-time, is there time and space for you to think about what's next, or do you need a break from work to achieve this?

Tidbit:

Before you do anything else, you should examine your economics and figure out what time, space, and circumstances you require to develop positive change.

2) Set your most important beliefs and non-negotiables?

What are the things in your life that you will not give up? Do you have a core set of beliefs and principles that define who you are? As a result, how might this knowledge help you find the proper job path?

Tidbit:

The first step is difficult. Work on your career and set a never-give-up attitude!

3)Define the purpose of your job.

Do we live in a society where working is essential to survive? However, how can you figure out exactly where and why we find happiness and contentment in our professional lives?

Your previous professional routes didn't sit well with you. What was it about them? Is there a role in which you found meaning? Do you have a daily routine that makes you feel most alive, regardless of the title or position?

Tidbit:

Consider the positive and negative aspects of your most recent position. Do you agree or disagree with this message?

4) Manifests your workplace success.

Success, especially in the workplace, should be defined individually rather than as a group effort. For you, what does success look like?

Having a clear picture in your mind of what a successful "future you" looks like to you is essential. Everything else is just a distraction.

Tidbit:

You may devise tactics, sketch out goals, establish priorities, assist coworkers, and make progress toward your goal. Establishing and accomplishing such intangible goals will ensure your success.
