Writer (Technical) Job in Kolkata at Gartner

Gartner is hiring for the role of Technical Writer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Partner with the content analyst(s), content leaders, and other Content and Marketing teams to create compelling content for our audiences across our buyer-facing and vendor-facing brands (Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp, UpCity, and Gartner Digital Markets) 
• Grow expertise and authority on your assigned beats
• Provide input on surveys used for long-form research
• Review quantitative/qualitative survey findings as well as other proprietary data sources and dissect dense, complex information to develop original angles and create meaningful stories from the data
• Ideate editorial pieces and content marketing assets to develop bundle proposals, and create the content 
• Conduct/participate in user interviews as needed
• Hold stakeholder kick-off meetings or gather additional context on requests as needed
• Contribute to side projects as needed
• Post your articles on social media (LinkedIn) with commentary, maintaining a public persona as a subject matter expert
• Adjust writing tone, voice, and messaging for assigned brand 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree - or equivalent experience - preferably with a focus on journalism or English literature
• 2-4 years of experience working with editorial, content marketing, and/or research 
• Experience in drafting mid-length content of at least ~1000—1500 words
• Keen level of focus, attention to detail, and organization
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Prior experience producing multi-format content (e.g., blog articles, infographics, videos, PDFs, etc.) in corporate/software environment is highly desired
