Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Writing crisp, clear, accurate and engaging content across writing styles — informative, emotional, creative, journalistic and business.
• Regularly interfacing with organisations and personalities in the Indian internet economy for leads and stories.
• Multimedia storytelling by making sure copies have high-quality pictures, illustrations, infographics, video, and/or audio.
• Conceptualising strategies for brand campaigns and events.
• Optimising content for SEO for higher brand reach by keeping track of search algorithm updates and ever-changing SEO best practices.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to aid in the amplification of the YourStory brand through various content-related projects and events.
• Collaborating on research reports, data-led campaigns and infographics.

Requirements:

• Have good storytelling skills, and are equipped with stellar grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Have a keen interest in business, technology, and the startup ecosystem.
• Can write engaging and thoughtful copy across social, print, video, and digital for diverse projects such as emailers, advertising campaigns, physical assets, web content, and sales.
• Understand social media, SEO, data analysis, and content marketing.
• Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are adept at using technology, and familiar with G-Suite, MS Office, and basic photo editing apps.
• Can multi-task, thrive under pressure, and are deadline-oriented.
• You dig into the details to uncover and craft authentic and compelling stories that resonate with audiences.
• Are a creative wordsmith who enjoys the challenges of finding the right combination of words and phrases to create meaning.
• Are a role-player capable of adjusting voice and tone to match a brand’s personality: serious, humorous, informative, and inspiring.
• Are an excellent written communicator – you understand prose, poetry and rhetorical devices to deliver compelling and engaging content.
