Roles & Responsibilities – 

• Understanding the WordPress core is essential. 
• This includes knowledge of the underlying architecture, template hierarchy, hooks, and filters. You should be comfortable working with core files and understanding how different components interact. 
• It includes theme development, plugin customization, integration of APIs, database management, and utilizing WordPress features effectively.
• Build a customized WordPress theme, or modify an existing WordPress theme, to suit the needs of the main website.
• Develop and administer captivating and user friendly websites for our clients.
• Maintaining existing codebase, to include troubleshooting bugs and adding new features.
• Create custom post types, taxonomies, and other WordPress features as needed.
• HTML files are converted into PHP files to generate the necessary HTML output. 
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, and responsive design principles. 
• It involves creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user experience.
• Knowledge of back-end technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and server-side scripting. 
• Handling data, server configurations, security implementations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the website's back-end.
• WordPress themes control the visual presentation of a website. You should be skilled in developing custom themes from scratch using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. 
• Understanding the WordPress template system, template tags, and the use of theme frameworks like Underscores or Bootstrap can be beneficial.
• Plugins extend the functionality of WordPress websites. Proficiency in developing custom plugins allows you to add specific features and customize the behavior of WordPress.
• Many WordPress websites require customization beyond standard themes and plugins. 
• You should be able to modify existing themes and plugins to match the client's requirements. 
• This involves working with PHP, CSS, and JavaScript to make changes to layouts, styles, and functionalities.
• Identify and resolve issues, bugs, or errors in WordPress websites. 
• Strong problem-solving skills, debugging techniques, and knowledge of WordPress coding standards.
• Optimizing the performance of WordPress websites. 
• It includes tasks such as improving page load speed, minimizing server requests, implementing caching mechanisms, optimizing images, and enhancing overall website performance.
• Implement security measures to protect WordPress websites from vulnerabilities and potential attacks. 
• It involves securing login credentials, implementing SSL certificates, keeping themes and plugins up to date, and following security best practices.
• Working with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure smooth project coordination.
• Understanding client needs, gathering requirements, and being able to explain technical ideas in simple terms
• Continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices. 
• Participating in relevant communities, attending workshops or conferences, and continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
• Ability to have a deep understanding of word press and its core functions and to work with different themes and customization. 
• Should have strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Java Script.

• Developing and testing code, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product.
• Abilities to identify and resolve issues related to WordPress installations, themes, plugins, and other website components.
• Being adaptable and open to change, as the web development landscape and client requirements may evolve over time.
• Ability to communicate with the team members and clients. 
• Providing updates on project progress, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Measure the time it takes to complete WordPress development projects.
• Monitor the security and maintenance aspects of the WordPress websites you develop. This includes regular updates, vulnerability management, and the absence of security incidents.
