Wireless Connectivity Validation Engineer Job in Bengaluru at Apple Inc.

Apple is hiring for the role of Wireless Connectivity Validation Engineer!

Responsibilities for the Candidate:

• Validating OTA test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups.
• Translating industry conformance/regulatory/carrier specification requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests.
• Defining and implementing validation plan for custom SW features - Debugging marginal/failure tests with multi-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/Product Design/EE/etc. and driving design changes to address issues.
• Maintaining test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. - Drive planning and execution of final certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA/CWG testing.

Requirements:

• Fundamentals of antenna design and tests, anechoic chambers, and RF test equipment with hands-on a plus
• Solid Understanding of RF component characteristics and behavior
• Understanding of the PHY Layer and MAC/application layer is highly desired, and proficiency at MATLAB simulations is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Programming/scripting skills would be a plus
• Bachelor's Degree required
