Wells Engineer Job in Bangalore at ExxonMobil

ExxonMobil is hiring for the role of Wells Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide engineering support in drilling, completions, and well performance areas to ExxonMobil global wells teams leveraging modeling, analysis, and engineering insights
• Monitor drilling/production data and provide insights and recommendations to decision-makers based on reasoning and engineering prowess
• Work directly with Wells teams to provide design and/or operational support for safe and cost-effective operations
• Provide production well surveillance to establish trends, recognize deviations, and identify data quality issues
• Generate plots and reports to communicate well performance and leverage ExxonMobil subject matter expert advice and company best practices to improve performance
• Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams
• Operations engineering activities – provide dedicated field support in good performance, production optimization, artificial lift, well intervention opportunity identification, economic analysis, OPEX evaluation, completions, and procedure generation
• Integrate with adjacent disciplines – facilities, reservoir & geoscience teams to provide synergistic solutions to global wells teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 and above.
• Minimum 2+ years of work experience in the Oil and Gas Industry specializing in either Drilling, Completions, or workovers.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design & operating parameters through data and trend analysis
• Experience in wells design, well performance monitoring, troubleshooting or optimization of well performance, and well management
• Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including
• Well, construction – Drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring.
• Well, completions – Completion designs, well performance analysis, operational considerations & well operability limits.
• Well, management – Production analysis & optimization, well performance methods, well intervention techniques, various artificial lift methods, and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to work in shifts, with opportunities to leverage flexible work hours
• The position is Bangalore-based with the potential for international travel
• Field experience at a rig site, well site, or production facility is preferred
• Experience in programming languages such as Python is preferred but not required
• Experience working in Tableau Power BI or Spotfire is preferred but not required
• Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, WellView, and CARTE is preferred but not required
