• Be obsessed with retention on video
• Understand nuances of designing to enable learning
• Understand video flow and story structures in depth
• Craft long-form as well as short-form edits that are smooth to consume
• Work daily with Producers and Writers to create an end-to-end content pipeline: from pre-production (scripting, storyboarding), production (shooting, set design) to post-production
• Turn ideas into action while incorporating the GrowthX brand into all elements
• Edit long-form as well as short-form video videos + repurpose them for other social platforms
• Be creative yet systematic in your approach to delivering great work
• Some visual and writing references that we closely relate with on long-form are Masterclass & Outlier. This does not mean we hate other products. We like how they depict the form & function while ensuring it’s educational. We have strong views of what is great quality content & matches the sense of taste in the team.

Requirements:

• If you have read other Jobs we are hiring for, you must know that we are building a Creative Studio at GrowthX (in Bengaluru).
• This role for the video editor will involve ownership of building the long-form and short-form content pipeline at GrowthX.
• This role requires a thorough understanding of brand guidelines, brand tone, and, most importantly, design principles and video editing rules.
• The editor must be capable of creative thinking and demonstrating ideas through design.
• Should have great taste in sound design and color grading according to the mood and atmosphere to emphasize the story's key moments.
• Initially, you will build and scale current IPs. However, eventually, you will transition to owning and creating multiple IPs.
• The Video Editor will own core metrics like retention and directly impact revenue.
