Venture Capital Investment Analyst Job in Mumbai at Samarthya Investment Advisors

Samarthya Investment Advisors is seeking a full-time Venture Capital Investment Analyst to join our dynamic investment team in Mumbai.

This is a high-impact, learning-intensive role designed for individuals passionate about startups, technology, and venture capital.

You will work directly with the firm's founders and partners, contributing across the entire investment lifecycle-from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and investor relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Evaluation: Analyze markets, technologies, products, teams, and financials of startups; assess business models, competitive landscape, and risk factors; prepare comprehensive investment memos for internal IC discussions.
• Due Diligence: Coordinate with legal, financial, and sectoral experts for in-depth diligence; work with external consultants to validate business assumptions and red flags.
• Deal Sourcing: Identify high-potential startups through ecosystem networking, founder connects, accelerators, and pitch decks; maintain a structured pipeline of evaluated opportunities.
• Portfolio Management: Collaborate with portfolio company founders to solve operational, strategic, and GTM-related challenges; track performance, create regular updates, and identify value creation opportunities.
• Ecosystem Engagement: Represent Samarthya at startup events, demo days, and investor panels; build visibility for the firm among founders, co-investors, and startup enablers.
• Investor Relations: Assist in preparing updates, presentations, and reports for Limited Partners (LPs); support in fundraising and compliance documentation as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in highly dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
• Previous internships or experience in startups, consulting, investment banking, or VC is a plus.
• MBA graduates preferred (any specialization).
