MapOut is hiring for the role of User Experience Designer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Conduct user research to understand learner needs and preferences.
• Design user-centered interfaces (UI) that are clear, engaging, and accessible across various platforms (web, mobile).
• Incorporate animation and illustration where appropriate to enhance the user experience.
• Develop user flows and wireframes to map out user journeys.
• Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes for usability testing and refinement.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and content creators to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Stay up-to-date on design trends and best practices in the education technology space.
• Leverage your marketing skills to contribute to the visual identity and brand messaging of MapOut.
• Effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adapt and thrive in the fast-paced, agile environment of a growing startup.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proven ability to conduct user research and translate insights into actionable design solutions.
• In-depth understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• A keen eye for content placement, information architecture, and visual hierarchy.
• A marketing-oriented mindset with a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly experiences.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
