Groww is hiring for the role of Underwriter Associate - Personal Loan!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Underwrite unsecured loans on a sample basis in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Responsible for approving or rejecting loans based on creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and analysis of documents such as bank statements, KYC, etc
• Assess the accuracy of system rules and outputs as a result of monitoring implemented policies on systems
• Responsible for identifying frauds/fraud patterns (if any) within the underwritten pool
• Examine whether any red flags have arisen during the normal course of implementing the policy
• Analyze the documents provided by the customers to ensure that they are in compliance with the rules & regulations
• Maintain the highest underwriting standards across all segments of the business
• Identify the concerns with respect to the portfolio (if any), and the channels, and ensure remedial measures are taken with all stakeholders

Requirements:

• Underwriting experience on unsecured products is a must (personal loan)
• Understanding of loan origination systems and flexibility to adapt to changes as required
• Understanding of KYC guidelines, capable of identifying and flagging any deviations
• Identify any irregular patterns in Customer Profiles, Leverage, and any other policy parameter through hands-on experience
• Ability to do quantitative analysis, maintain and publish daily management information
• The ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations
