UI Designer - 1 Job in Mumbai at Upstox

Upstox is hiring for the role of UI Designer- 1!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and take ownership of the UI, ensuring a consistent and user-centric experience across various platforms
• Collaborate with other UI Designers, UX designers, and developers to create compelling user experiences while maintaining a consistent brand identity
• Contribute to the development of a scalable and flexible design system to support future product growth
• Generate concept sketches, wireframes, and prototypes for iterative design processes
• Transform UX concepts and wireframes into frontend-ready designs
• Work closely with developers, providing detailed specifications and ensuring the implementation of design consistency
• Align design decisions with both user needs and business goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Possess a minimum of 2+ years of UI design experience, supported by a portfolio showcasing your work
• A deep understanding of branding, visual design, UX, and digital marketing
• Demonstrate excellent visual design skills with a user-centric approach, and a passion for branding, storytelling, and crafting engaging content
• Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Exhibit the ability to manage projects autonomously, collaborate effectively, and embrace feedback
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• Possess strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills
• Have experience working with an Agile methodology and a background in data-informed product development
• (A plus!) Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining design to stakeholders and engineers
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and strong diplomatic skills for effective collaboration across teams without formal authority
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
• Experience in designing for financial apps or complex data visualizations is a plus
• Ability to code basic HTML/CSS or at least understand development constraints
• Passionate about the stock market and financial literacy
