Job Overview:
As a Medical Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical or medical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. Your primary goal is to increase product awareness, educate healthcare professionals, and drive sales in your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Promotion: Promote the company's pharmaceutical or medical products to healthcare professionals by providing them with information, samples, and scientific literature.
Territory Management: Manage a designated geographic territory, which may involve regular travel and visitation to healthcare facilities and clinics within the area.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals to understand their needs, preferences, and prescribing habits.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's products, including their features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets and goals set by the company, such as sales quotas and market share objectives.
Market Analysis: Collect and analyze market data to identify opportunities and threats in the healthcare industry. Report market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to the company.
Customer Education: Provide healthcare professionals with information on the proper use, dosage, and potential side effects of products. Conduct educational presentations and seminars when necessary.
Compliance: Ensure that all interactions with healthcare professionals adhere to industry regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, pharmacy, business).
Previous experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales is preferred but not always required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Self-motivated and results-oriented.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
