CIS Center for Internet Security is hiring for the role of Trainee AWS Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Engage in on-the-job training to gain a deep understanding of AWS services, architecture and best practices.
• Participate in training sessions and certification programs to build AWS expertise.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining AWS infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Help with troubleshooting issues related to AWS services and applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Learn to deploy and configure AWS resources such as EC2 instances, S3 buckets and RDS databases.
• Support the automation of infrastructure tasks using AWS tools and services like CloudFormation, Lambda and IAM.
• Assist in implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Learn about identity and access management, data encryption and other security measures in AWS.
• Help create and maintain documentation for AWS infrastructure, configurations and procedures.
• Assist in generating reports on system performance, cost management and security audits.
• Work closely with senior AWS engineers and other IT teams to understand business requirements and contribute to cloud solutions.
• Provide basic support to internal teams and users for AWS-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements:

• 0-6 months of experience with cloud computing, preferably with AWS.
• Basic understanding of cloud concepts and AWS services.
• Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS and IAM is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of networking, Linux, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
