BlackRock is hiring for the role of Trade Clearance/Settlements Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand various financial products such as Equities, Bonds, Money Market instruments, Interest Swaps, Derivatives, and Investment strategies.
• Maintain basic accounting awareness.
• Possess strong market awareness and understanding of market mechanisms and participants such as custodians, brokers, sub-agents, clearing houses, and depositories.
• Be aware of key risks associated with respective markets to make informed decisions while managing daily risk.
• Perform risk assessment and mitigation to ensure compliance and protect the firm's and clients' interests.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office 360, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Analyze data, identify themes and patterns, and make informed decisions.
• Pay attention to detail when reviewing and validating data to avoid errors.
• Communicate effectively to collaborate with various teams both internally and externally, including Portfolio Managers, Traders, counterparts, and Custodians, to resolve exceptions related to matching and settlement of trades in markets in a timely manner.
• Handle complex issues and find practical solutions by working with stakeholders (Counterparties, Custodians, Securities Lending, Corporate Actions) to identify and resolve exceptions through trade life cycles including trade capture, confirmation, pre-matching, settlement, or cash and asset breaks.
• Perform under pressure and manage risks efficiently given the role's time sensitivity and financial risk.
• Adapt to changing market conditions and evolving business needs.

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years experience, preferably in global Investment Management and Investment Banking firms
• Strong process knowledge in trade operations – trade settlements, trade confirmations/matching
• Bachelor's or PG qualification in business, finance or related field
• Previous experience of working in a global organization preferred
• Understanding of financial markets and related instruments –   (Equities, Fixed Income, FX Derivatives, Exchange Traded Futures, SWAPS, Collaterals)
• A strong emphasis on time management in addition to being well-organized and detail-oriented
• Team player with attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible in terms of working in shifts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning new applications
• The ability to perform effectively in an environment and able to re-prioritize due to rapid and continual change
