S&P Global is hiring for the role of TOC Associate Engineer I!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Have involvement in and oversight of monitoring of all customer facing environments across all platforms and business units.
• Drive remediation of system and application issues in these environments.
• Ensure escalation in a timely and efficient manner to appropriate next level of support following department guidelines.
• Report incidents to management; record incidents and requests handled from both alerting tools and customers (internal and external).
• Determine whether the issue is customer-impacting and if broad escalation is required.
• Notify all stakeholders of ongoing issue status, timeline, and recovery.
• Identify, and own exploration of, opportunities for continual service improvement.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study
• 2-3 years of experience in a 24x7 Monitoring function/role
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritise, especially in critical and high-pressure scenarios
• Experience using monitoring tools like Nagios/Thruk, Datadog, and others
• Good experience using SIEM tools for log querying and analysis such as Splunk, logz.io
• Proven Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Windows Servers, and Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS) technical knowledge.
• Good knowledge of ITIL best practices and standards
• Maintenance of technical documentation of processes and procedures used throughout normal operation
• Established communication pattern/experience with internal and external customers and colleagues; regional, local, in-person and/or virtual
