Black & Veatch is hiring for the role of Thermal Performance Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Continues to learn and stay current on departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and Black & Veatch policies and procedures
• Applies acquired knowledge to assigned tasks as appropriate
• Develops understanding of and complies with Black & Veatch’s quality program in relation to assigned work
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives and change management efforts
• Prepares and verifies less complex engineering deliverables in line with project requirements
• Performs research and develops recommendations for equipment and material selection
• Collects, assimilates, and manages data required for engineering tasks
• Prepares engineering calculations using standard methods and principles
• Adheres to project budgets, schedules, and quality standards
• Seeks guidance from supervisors or project leadership to ensure accurate design and coordination
• Coordinates work with other team members as assigned by supervisors or project leads
• Prioritizes the needs of internal clients (e.g., project team leadership) while gaining understanding of external client goals and priorities
• May assist in business development or pursuit activities
• Shares up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and processes with team members

Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program in the applicant’s home country or the country of practice
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected, which may include:
• Criminal and/or civil background check
• Drug screening
• Motor vehicle records search
