Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and plan a comprehensive computer science curriculum that adheres to the educational standards and guidelines set by the school or educational board.
• Deliver computer science lessons to students through lectures, discussions, and interactive activities, catering to varying learning styles and abilities.
• Evaluate student performance through regular assessments, tests, and assignments. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment within the classroom. Manage student behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Utilize educational technology and software to enhance the learning experience and make computer science concepts more accessible and engaging.
• Identify and address the unique needs of individual students, offering extra help or advanced challenges as required.
• Engage students in co-curricular activities related to computer science, such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, or technology workshops.
• Regularly communicate with parents or guardians about student progress, upcoming events, and areas of improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in computer science education, attending workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching techniques and subject knowledge.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, department heads, and school administration to align teaching strategies, discuss student progress, and contribute to the overall school improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A teaching certification or diploma in education is preferred.
• Prior experience in teaching computer science at the middle or high school level is an advantage.
• Proficiency in various programming languages, operating systems, and computer applications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to relate to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Organizational skills to manage lesson planning, grading, and classroom activities effectively.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and personal growth of students.
