Honeywell is hiring for the role of Test Engineer II!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Manage performance testing, Calibration testing, Environmental testing
• Develop and maintain test standards, interface with Tech Centers, design and develop engineering test equipment or procure and manage purchased test capital to maintain test readiness
• Support product testing. Manage lab facilitates and operations, Developing and executing product and system design verification test plans
• Use structured processes/management operating system (MOS) to manage results, including overall goals for productivity, cycle time, and cost reduction
• Provide support to modify or rework mechanical/electronic prototypes during the test and debug cycle
• Establish and maintain a verification test metrics dashboard for visual management measuring process efficiency and applying a management system to check and act on the metrics
• Facilitate the team in maintaining document traceability and audits
• Understand and apply standards (UL, EN, etc.) and Honeywell internal processes
• Organize, identify and maintain all test fixtures. Optimizing verification test infrastructure
• Follow and support a system that establishes daily management of projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Have a fundamental understanding of product development, manufacturing, simulation methods and techniques, FMEA and other engineering principles
• Wear House system testing knowledge
• Previous experience with test lab management, test equipment design, test plan development and test implementation on development hardware
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of management as well as global teams
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Maintain test equipment (repair, cleaning, preventative) and Maintain a clean and professional work area
• Strong knowledge of mechanical basic electrical, and electronic concepts
• Maintain records of work performed
• Analyze returned components and reports on results
• Maintain supplies needed for testing components, defining critical parts needed
• Cooperate with other laboratories within and outside the division
• Make effective use of equipment and Establish and/or use appropriate test and work procedure
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Experience with [list SW environments or complilers] and/or [list HW tools and environments used
• Experience with [product family] equipment or other [industry] products is a plus
• Individuals who take the initiative to get things done do things before being asked by others or forced to by an event
• Individuals that assemble facts from various areas, analyze data and provide informed recommendations
• Some test engineering experience
• Proven track record developing test [software and/or hardware]
