Nokia is hiring for the role of Technical Lead!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• This position is part of the FN Broadband Networks (FN BBN) DevOps team, which defines and implements the digital architecture for key R&D areas supporting a business transformation to achieve product development acceleration/DevOps in the longer term. 
• As a DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the FN BBN DevOps enablement roadmap implementation following the priorities set by the DevOps transformation lead. 
• You will be responsible for the optimization of the SW/ATC code delivery & test flows within FN BBN. Cooperation with product delivery units and service teams is a key part of the job. 
• As an expert, you will leverage and re-use DevOps practices and tools introduced by other BUs and explore new possibilities provided by Open Source SW. 
• Deliver code to automate manual activities and create a fully scripted development & test environment (IAAC). 
• This involves developing & integrating new code, adjusting existing code, forking code on open-source components, and contributing back where/when required,...   
• Set up manage and optimize build and test environments for FN BBN products on physical and cloud infrastructure: repo setups, syncs with open source community, Buildroot toolchain, Artifactory, Jenkins CI, Robot Framework,...
• Integrate test automation framework into SW delivery process, including staged SW delivery through optimized test pyramid, building on existing automation tools or expansion of it.
• Cooperate with LAB-Ops and Build Production teams on the productization of optimizations in CI pipelines. 
• Cooperate with existing tool owners to include new features or develop extra functionalities (through API, ...) 
• Define new improvement projects, PoCs,… together with R&D development teams, to optimize their TTM through process flow automation. 

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science (or similar engineering discipline) or equivalent. 
• Excellent coding (C, C++, HTML, CSS) and scripting skills with knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, Java, etc. 
• Very good understanding of human-readable file formats like JSON, YAML, etc. 
• In-depth experience of Linux environment. 
• Profound TCP/IP knowledge. 
• Team player. 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (EN). 
• Use CI and CD tools (i.e. Jenkins). 
• Mercurial or Git holds no surprises for you as it is crucial for version control. 
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux build systems like Buildroot. 
• Proven track record in optimizing Makefiles and Make or Bazel build systems and tuning their advanced caching and optimization techniques. 
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source DevOps technologies and tools. 
• Daily user of Docker and other containerization tools, as well as emulation or virtualization techniques.
