Nukebox Studios is hiring for the role of Technical Artist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with artists, animators, and developers to implement assets into the game engine (Unity)
• Optimize assets (textures, models, animations) for better performance across platforms (mobile).
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to art asset implementation and performance.
• Develop and maintain shaders and pipelines to improve workflow efficiency for the art team.
• Work with programmers to ensure that artistic solutions are technically feasible and optimized.
• Assist in creating technical documentation for art pipelines, tools, and processes.
• Stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies in game development and share knowledge with the team.
• Design agile and efficient tools for extended departments to enhance quick and seamless workability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a gaming-related field, with specialized knowledge in technical art.
• 1- 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.
• Understanding of real-time rendering, shaders, lighting, and asset optimization.
• Proficiency in Unity.
• Knowledge of 2D & 3D modeling software (Blender) and texturing tools (Substance Painter, Photoshop).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (C#) is good to have.
• Ability to balance the artistic vision with technical constraints and optimize accordingly.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative team player.
