Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Expertise in the design and development of efficient microservices.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency APIs for mission-critical systems and deliver high-availability, performance-centric web services.
• Develop public APIs for the automotive domain based on after-sales processes.
• Write unit test cases using mocking frameworks for APIs and services.
• Design and build continuous integration and continuous delivery scripts using open-source platforms.
• Package using containers, deploy and host on cloud platforms using popular container orchestration frameworks.
• End-to-end implementation of Java-based web services or API development in the last two years.
• Develop applications using the Spring Boot framework.
• Work with APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Apply object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Hands-on experience in API management software.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
• Understand client needs and take responsibility for assigned tasks with minimal assistance.
• Maintain a good understanding of existing technical solutions and their implementations.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, server-side code.
• Ensure designs comply with specifications.
• Prepare and produce software component releases.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative technologies and presenting them for architectural review.

Requirements:

Technical Skills (Must-Have):

• Programming Languages: Java/J2EE (Java 8+), Go, Python.
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Gin, Mockito, JUnit.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Public Cloud: Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Microservices Architecture: Service discovery and fault tolerance mechanisms.
• Container Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Message Processing & Caching Mechanisms: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm.
• API Design: Expertise in OpenAPI Standard 3.x.
• API Security: OAuth 1.0/2.0.
• Build Tools & Servers: Maven, Apache Tomcat/JBoss, Jenkins.
• Cloud Technology: Deployment & hosting of web services on cloud (Kubernetes).

Technical Skills (Good to Have):

• Application Monitoring Tools: AppDynamics, Datadog.
• Scripting: Groovy, Shell.
• Logging & Security: ELK, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Other Skills:

• In-depth understanding of the SDLC lifecycle.
• Ability to convert business requirements into business documents.
• Knowledge of application architecture and middleware concepts.
• Familiarity with code quality and other quality frameworks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Automotive domain knowledge in after-sales processes is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Engineering.
