Tax Specialist - US Indirect Tax Job in Hyderabad at IFF: International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.

IFF is hiring for the role of Tax Specialist - US Indirect Tax!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Consolidate and validate US and Canadian Sales and Use Tax data.
• Prepare and review US and Canadian (GST/HST/QST) sales and use tax returns and prepare Tax payment worksheets.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of tax payments and accruals with local financials.
• File Annual Reports.
• Be responsible for tracking all Tax Exemption Certificates.
• Research US and Canadian State and Local indirect tax controversies; summarize and communicate findings to Management.
• Participate in US and Canadian State and Local indirect tax audits and be involved in drafting the responses to inquiries from the tax authorities.
• Work with the US team to ensure timely delivery of work papers.

Requirements: 

• Post Graduation or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or any other relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in US indirect tax
• Ability to develop effective work relationships with business stakeholders
• Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Good Communication Skills
• Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and proficiency in the use of tax software
• Capability to research and understand principles of U.S. tax law
• Demonstrated the ability to drive results
• Ability to work modified/flexible hours
