Tax Analyst Job in Mumbai at PayPal

PayPal is hiring for the role of Tax Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Working closely with Global Accounting and shared services teams to ensure consistent application of tax accounting policies across Indian Entities.
• Preparing all supporting information, coordinating with various internal teams, and ensuring timely completion of tax audits.
• Ensuring account reconciliations of tax accounts, including follow-up on the closure of open items based on reconciliations.
• Providing necessary support for corporate tax filings responding to queries for tax and keeping track of various tax assessments by working closely with external tax consultants.
• Providing necessary tax support on ad-hoc projects, such as new product launches/ initiatives, streamlining reports, improving close processes, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce from an accredited university
• Chartered Accountant qualification is a pre-requisite
• 2-4 years of relevant experience post CA qualification
• Experience in Direct and Indirect tax is a must
• Prior working experience in Big 4 consulting firms preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge in indirect tax, corporate income tax, transfer pricing and STPI regulations
• Good business partnering skills working with various people across different organizations both internal as well as external
• Able to drive changes to improve processes
• Experience in banking and financial services industry
• Interest in e-commerce
