Honeywell is hiring for the role of Systems Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work with the Lead Engineer (LE) to understand and apply engineering designs/technical specifications during project execution
• Background on functional safety
• Background of SIS design and engineering
• Understand the Safety lifecycle Plan
• Should have basic knowledge of Safety concepts like Voting, MOS, OOS, and plant shutdown hierarchy
• Should be able to write BMS sequence logic based on control narrative.
• Should be able to identify gaps in customer inputs and raise appropriate queries
• Knowledge of FGS zone concepts
• Knowledge of IEC61508 / 611511 industry standard
• Should be able to finalize BOM (Bill of Material)
• Prepare IO database and develop I/O Assignment
• Should have knowledge of Hardware Engineering activities like Cabinet design, Power and Heat load calculation, and wiring database generation.
• Shall have knowledge of Instrumentation standards, P&ID’s
• Develop applications based on customer inputs such as C&E, Process Narratives/ descriptions, and logic diagrams.
• Conduct FAT and commissioning for Safety system independently
• Assist LE/ EM to ensure that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work assignments to the project team
• Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines
• Reports progress and technical problems to Lead engineer/ Engineering Manager
• Works independently & is fully proficient in applying established standards, and complying with quality/safety processes and procedures. Guides engineers on day-to-day technical matters.
• Assist LE/ EM to ensure that projects are executed within the agreed schedule and budget to meet the customer requirements
• Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation
• Ensures that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the customer/end-user by doing thorough quality checks
• Possesses good verbal and written English communication skills. Articulates & communicates technical issues effectively with LE/ EM/ customers and seeks effective closure

Requirements: 

• Domain Knowledge – Oil &Gas, Chemical/ Petrochemical, or any other process automation
• Experience in Safety system projects is preferred. Experience on PLC-based projects can also be considered
• Experience in Honeywell Safety Systems FSC and Safety Manager will be an added advantage
• TUV Functional Safety Engineer certification will be an added advantage
• BE (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electronics & Communication)
