Magna is hiring for the role of System Simulation Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• As a System Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for System level simulation of ASM, PSM, Inverter and electrical drives for determination of losses, most efficient operating points.
• You will also be responsible for development of various models related to E-drive and Gearbox.

Requirements:

• Detailed understanding of how an Electric drive unit works in EV. Primary drive Unit 
• Secondary drive Unit. Types of Losses in ASM and PSM Machine and factors influencing them. Detailed understanding of Gearbox layout in common electric vehicles;
•  Losses associated with the components in gearbox. Detailed understanding of Inverter component and losses associated with the components in the Inverter. AC, DC, Mechanical Power conversion strategies in both Motoring and Generating mode. General working knowledge on switching strategies of Inverter.
