Visa is hiring for the role of SW Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Help design, enhance, and build next-generation fraud detection platforms in an agile development environment.
• Play a part in multiple teams tasked with projects ranging from full stack development, REST-based APIs, container-based services to highly functional, secure, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Contribute to release planning exercises, assign, and track work of team members for timely releases.
• Include technical analysis and the creation of a conceptual approach in your responsibilities.
• Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java best practices.
• Ensure coding adheres to security standards, is easily maintainable, and highly performant.
• Participate in design and code review sessions to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates is in accordance with development standards.
• Collaborate with business partners on requirements elaboration, design, configuration, and business re-engineering.
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
• Communicate status, issues, and risks precisely and timely.
• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
• Document software defects using a bug-tracking system, and report defects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, OR 1-2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hold 2 or more years of work experience.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 1 year of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
• Possess experience in full stack technology, in one or more of the following technologies: Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, MySQL, Maven, Design Patterns, Test Automation framework.
• Present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Have experience with agile development incorporating continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Demonstrate strong facilitation and analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Exhibit good interpersonal skills and communication.
• Be passionate about delivering zero defect code that meets or exceeds the proposed defect SLA and have a high sense of accountability for quality and timeliness of one’s own deliverables and team deliverables.
• Be highly driven, resourceful, and results-oriented.
• Be systematic and able to conduct deep research, uncovering details.
• Have a good work ethic and be a team player to bring the best results.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
• Have experience with successful design, architecture, and development using Hadoop, Spark, and Scala for large data processing and transaction systems.
