OpenBet is hiring for the role of Support Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate :

• Producing robust, well-written solutions for production issues; 
• Effectively communicating investigation status to the customer; 
• Deployment of fixes to production environments; 
• Escalate to senior team members as appropriate to resolve issues; 
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of support documentation, including FAQs, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides; 
• Participate in a rota schedule which includes working on weekends and bank holidays. 

Requirements :

• A bachelor’s degree in a traditional science subject, ideally computer science, engineering or information systems from a well-regarded university; 
• 2 - 3 years of experience in an application support role, with proven record of technical investigation and creating solutions to problems. 
• 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience in at least one major language (Java, J2EE, C, C++, Python, PHP, etc.) and SQL queries; 
• Strong fundamental programming skills (data structures, algorithms); 
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken; 
• An ability to learn new technologies quickly, work independently, manage workload and escalate in timely manner.
