Supplier Quality Engineer Job in Bangalore at Volvo Group India

Volvo is hiring for the role of Supplier Quality Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Manage portfolio of proprietary supply partners, responsible for quality of parts shipped to Volvo user plants globally
• Early involvement in supply partner Selection, participating in the Segment strategy, RFQ Preparation & Evaluating potential supply partners with the QDCFTSR using Volvo Specific tools (RTS, SRET, Sourcing case risk mitigation, Benchmark evaluation etc...)
• Ensure APQP is performed and proceeding in accordance to required project timing and the risks are addressed with mitigation plan
• Verify PPAP submissions are accurate and represent acceptable production ready product per design intent and approve the PPAP and tooling
• Drive the Quality concerns raised from Volvo plants with quick containment and deep dive on the root cause to narrow down with why-why analysis & secure the corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelors / Masters in Engineering
• Prior experience in supplier quality preferably from Automotive background
• Strong technical knowledge and manufacturing know how, knowledge on handling proprietary components is an added advantage
