Oracle is hiring for the role of Staff Consultant - Java Developer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• As a Consultant within Banking Consulting Europe, you will join a high-performing team supporting technical development, implementation, and managed services for Oracle’s next-generation digital banking solutions. In this junior-level role, you will receive guidance while contributing to solution analysis, design, coding, integration, testing, and quality assurance for clients in the European financial sector.
• Participate as a technical team member in development, implementation, or managed service activities, including migration, integration, and testing support, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams.
• Assist with the analysis, design, and implementation of digital banking solutions, ensuring alignment with client and Oracle standards.
• Develop and document programs according to specifications and project requirements, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
• Use defined tools, standards, and processes to achieve deliverables that meet Oracle and client quality expectations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of deliverables, changes, and processes in accordance with internal and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Oracle/client change control processes, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Support issue tracking and resolution, including proper handover and knowledge transfer for each assignment.
• Provide timely status reports, timesheets, and expense submissions as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
• 1–4 years’ experience in software development, implementation, or support—ideally with financial or core banking applications.
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Springboot, JavaScript, XML; familiarity with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database (18c/12c).
• Exposure to banking domain concepts and digital banking applications.
• Experience with application server software (especially Oracle Weblogic).
• Working knowledge of release management and source control tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and client interaction skills in English.
• Competence with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exposure to cloud/SAAS deployments, Agile/DevOps processes, and testing tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle OBIEE Reports, BI Publisher, and middleware (e.g., Oracle Fusion SOA Suite).
• Practical knowledge of software development life cycle, troubleshooting deployments, and banking terminology.
• Experience with software deployment and troubleshooting.
