Philips is hiring for the role of Sr. Mechanical Engineer: STET!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Requirements, design, implementation, testing, and integration of their module/sub-system in accordance with higher-level architectural requirements and design specifications, focusing on ease of maintenance, extendibility (components and modules), and reusability.
• Ensure the proposed design incorporates built-in safety, reliability, and quality features.
• Responsible for ensuring the design meets performance, quality, and cost criteria.
• Develop concept and feasibility 3D models using CREO CAD.
• Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack-up analysis for components/sub-systems.
• Perform hand calculations supporting design, with sound knowledge of Strength of Materials.
• Ensure proper documentation per standards for the developed design.
• Ensure design modules meet product certification requirements.
• Adhere to project deliverable commitments.
• Stay updated on technical developments in their field through literature study and technical contacts.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with country-specific regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools like CREO.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience in thermal analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including formula-based Excel calculations and PowerPoint presentations.
• Knowledge of FDA and IEC Standards is advantageous.
• Disciplined team worker with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to present ideas convincingly to project team members.
• Structured and self-organized approach to work.
• Positive 'can-do' attitude with a quality mindset in analysis and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
