Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Directly business partner with the Director of the unit to design and implement the strategy for the unit, ensuring understanding of financial and operational consequences of performance
- Partnering with the business to provide financial insight and guidance to support effective business strategy development, decision making and performance management
- Improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on performance of the unit
- Steward, lead and partner with the business, to ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with, and in the spirit of, local legislative requirements, and enhance and protect
- Business for now and the future
- Sets agendas, identifies opportunities and drives best practice and provides insight on finance work area(s) or specialism
- Provide financial and commercial advice on any major strategic investments, proposition, pricing or product launch, through building clear business cases which model sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Compilation of detailed business reporting presented to senior leadership teams, including by customer and product views
- Proactively track, manage, prioritise and advise all risks and opportunities, ensuring impacts quantified, mitigations addressed, and plans implemented
- Ownership of MTP forecasting, setting challenging targets and ensuring forecasting accuracy
- Ownership and oversight of the month end process ensuring accurate reporting of results and providing business insight and commentary for Finance and Commercial teams
- Ownership of outlooks and ensuring delivery and reliability of forecasting
- Cash management, including ensuring debt is collected and under control
- Balance sheet management and control, including variance and aging analysis reporting
- Challenge thinking, ideas, performance, and activities, extracting both the why and how
- Driving Cost Transformation agenda and following through to P&L
- Covering any necessary audit requirements
- Support and lead on any ad hoc projects relating to the businesses
- Management of CapEx
Requirements:
- An ability to matrix-manage cross-business teams to complex and multi-phase solutions
- Drives judicious use of resources to maximize productivity and drive cost efficiency and is instrumental in driving the expansion of margins
- Collaboration & senior stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Candidates with Business Partnering and commercial experience will be preferred Qualified Accountant
- Demonstrate effective management of key internal and external stakeholders
- Working in a complex, multi-disciplinary and multi-national environment
- Commercial thinking and deal experience
