Sr. Engineer - Storage Automation Test Job in Pune at Seagate

Seagate is hiring for the role of Sr. Engineer - Storage Automation Test!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Support engineering efforts and ensure product quality for Seagate Systems that are delivered to customers.
• Understand the design details of the storage system from a test perspective.
• Work closely with the Development team to understand the product architecture and implementation.
• Develop and execute test cases as per the test plan.
• Generate test reports.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure full integration of all parts of the system.
• Assist with maintaining engineering laboratory and equipment.
• Commit to be available for US-India work collaboration including attending meetings and solving problems.

Requirements:

• Graduation degree in engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years of proven experience with agile methodologies
• Understanding of RAID-based storage system architectures
• Understanding of storage media types, and communication media
• Understanding of protocols, typical capacity, throughput, and latency values, failure modes
• Familiarity with IO generation tools
• Good knowledge of manual and automated testing
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Linux-based OS
• Good understanding of Python/Perl programming language
• Windows and/or VMware certifications knowledge
• Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins, and Git
