Mastercard is hiring for the role of Specialist/Analyst!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Develop high-quality quality efficient and scalable code modules utilizing advanced Python skills.
• Extract, manipulate, and aggregate big data efficiently from Hadoop/hdfs to support ad-hoc requests and POCs.
• Leverage knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, and Spark to handle large-scale data processing tasks efficiently.
• Identify improvements in existing code modules and suggest optimization for performance and scalability.
• Employ strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns, and trends, and develop innovative solutions to analytical challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, application developers, and data scientists.
• Provide general support to the product management team

Requirements:

• Strong Proficiency in using Python, Spark, Hadoop platform & related tools.
• Good experience in using Hive, Impala, and SQL. PySpark and Spark SQL is a plus.
• Provides support for product enhancements and product development.
• Eager to learn new technologies and frameworks.
• Passion for analytical/quantitative problem-solving.
• Strong collaboration skills working across multiple teams and geographies.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills (organizational, planning and follow-up)
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Statistics, or other related disciplines with 1-3 years of related work experience.
