PwC is hiring for the role of Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Handling advisory and compliance engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws, such as Tax structuring, Advisory and Litigation support pertaining to Service Tax, VAT, Excise and Customs
• Periodical Indirect Tax compliance such as Excise, Service tax, VAT and CST return, APR/QPR for EOU, STPI, obtaining Statutory Forms from the tax authority
• Undertaking reconciliation between books of accounts and figures disclosed in the statutory returns
• Responsible for the execution of the assigned engagements under the supervision of seniors
• Coordination with the departments to obtain approvals, registrations, licenses, etc
• Coordination with the seniors on planning and management of assignments
• Develop a rapport with the lower levels of client management; display commitment to outstanding client service

Requirements:

• To be a Graduate with 2-3 years of experience in the related field/ Post-Graduate with 0-1 year of relevant experience. Candidates who have taken a Chartered Accountancy course will have an added advantage
• Demonstrating a proactive and robust thought process
• Meticulous and committed attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Passion for client servicing
• Excellent skillset working on MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
• Number crunching ability
• Subject Matter Expertise required
• Basic knowledge of Indirect Tax laws relating to Service Tax VAT, Excise, Customs
• Basic knowledge of Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing is expected
• Knowledge of the current GST developments and the impact of the same on the industry
