Special Purpose Machine (SPM ) Design Engineer Job in Bangalore at Tardid Technologies Private Limited

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Conceptualize and develop innovative designs for special purpose machinery based on client specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate design concepts and propose optimal solutions.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings, models, and simulations.
• Perform structural analysis, stress analysis, and tolerance analysis to ensure the integrity and performance of designed machinery.
• Select appropriate components, materials, and manufacturing processes to achieve desired functionality and reliability.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to source components and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Prototype, test, and iterate designs to validate performance and functionality.
• Develop technical documentation, including design specifications, operating manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in special purpose machinery design and automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master& degree preferred.
• Proven experience (3-4) in designing special purpose machinery or custom automation solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, machine kinematics, and structural mechanics.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software is desirable.
• Knowledge of machining processes, materials selection, and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and precision.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
