Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring for the role of Solution Analyst!

Responsibility

• End-to-end ownership of product modules/features, including gathering requirements, translating them into executable steps, building prototypes, and presenting to stakeholders.
• Enhance product features as required and support the development of new offerings.
• Maintain existing intellectual property and assets, ensuring data quality, validation, and robust documentation.
• Apply in-depth understanding of insurers' financial reporting to build proprietary assets like Insurance Profit Pools & Insurers Financial DataCube.
• Develop deep analytical models using Excel, SQL, and other technical platforms for market projections and financial benchmarking.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to gather insurance knowledge and strengthen market analysis.
• Communicate with senior stakeholders to manage expectations, validate results, and draw meaningful insights from data.
• Share intellectual property clearly and concisely, with strong slide writing and storytelling abilities.
• Work creatively and analytically in time-limited, problem-solving environments.
• Bring a curious and innovative mindset, proposing new ideas and solutions.
• Interact with multiple clients in a fast-paced environment, prioritize requests, and manage client expectations.
• Collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues to bring expertise to both internal and external clients.

Requirements

• 2+ years of insurance-related industry experience, preferably including financial analysis, financial planning, or market modeling expertise.
• Ability and affinity to develop deep knowledge in insurance industry topics.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Good knowledge of data modeling and visualization tools like Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau is preferred.
• Mastery of VBA is considered a plus but not mandatory.
• Solid knowledge of database and analytical tool management.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including financial and operational data analysis, data management, statistical analysis, and modeling.
• Superior problem-solving abilities.
• Effective and fluent written and verbal communication skills, with experience interacting with clients.
• Collaborative work style with solid work ethics and service mentality.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and manage multiple client requests.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a time-limited environment.
• Flexibility, curiosity, and openness to proposing innovative ideas.
