Ramboll is hiring for the role of Solidworks Designer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepare project-specific detailed and complex 3D models and 2D drawings, representing large steel structures such as monopile or jacket foundations
• Prepare manufacturing plans and section overviews for individual components such as profiles and weld details, as well as complete structural assemblies, and close collaboration with the design engineers,
• Insure models and drawings are prepared by the required standards and procedures to ensure high-quality final drawings
• Support the project teams in bid invitations by implementing conceptual designs and generating various project-specific design drawings, such as sketches, 2D/3D drawings, collision design in 3D, and similar
• Further develop and maintain internal CAD in Solidworks standards and manuals, as well as develop optimized ways of building 3D models and exporting 2D drawings
• Closely collaborate with other Ramboll units worldwide, ensuring streamlined and optimized working and quality-assurance procedures
• Take part in internal development activities to continuously improve and optimize our design

Requirements:

• 2 - 6 years experience in the CAD industry. Offshore structural 2D/3D CAD in Solidworks experience is advantageous
• A degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant
• Completed training as a draftsman, design engineer, technical draftsman, or CAD in Solidworks specialist
• 2D and 3D design knowledge as a technical draftsman in the construction industry in steel, metal, or plant construction, preferably knowledge in the design area of supporting structures
• Highly proficient in 3D CAD IN Solidworks design, e.g., with SolidWorks tool
• Should be well conversant with design standard requirements, such as Euro and DNV codes, and drafting standards.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, especially technical vocabulary for drawing preparation.
• High integrity and team spirit, proactively engaging with others and offering support when required.
• Effectively prioritize and carry out assignments, also under time constraints
• Excellent communication skills and proactive, analytical approach to assignments
• Experience in the usage of MS Office tools (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) is preferable
• Able to perform tasks independently and have the willingness to go the extra mile
