Software Test Engineer Job in Bengaluru at Google

Google is hiring for the position of Software Test Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop test strategy for new smart home products and features.
• Build a stable and reliable automated test suited to validate Google devices working together in a continuous integration system.
• Develop virtualization and device simulators based on automated feature validation. Develop test hooks to monitor code health and system stability.
• Validate algorithms running on devices and validate improvements to ship high-quality products.
• Identify key product indicators and build analytics that drive new features and improvements. Root-cause failures and indicator changes, through automated analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience coding in Python or Java, software test automation development.
• Experience working on low-power, low-memory devices, and device validation techniques
• Experience in consumer electronics or home automation.
• Understanding of sensor technologies, filtering/sensing algorithms, and validation techniques.
• Ability to be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Passion for quality and automation, with a track record of helping deliver software product features or consumer devices.
