BT Group is hiring for the role of Software Engineering Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Assisting with the setup of end-to-end products and resources to support the development of new business use cases.
• Maintaining the current lab resources.
• Keeping the documentation up to date.
• Deploying various security product agents.
• Deploying various security products and configuration integrations with other tooling.
• Configuring of firewalls, and virtual networking.
• Developing and enhancing automated processes to assist with the day-to-day management of resources.
• Researching technologies and assisting with Product Evaluation, Performing POC / Pilot of new technologies.
• Researching technologies and leading POC development, to ensure feasibility.

Requirements:

• Must have good working knowledge and hands-on experience working in Linux operating systems.
• Must have good working knowledge and hands-on experience working with Windows operating systems.
• Must have good working knowledge and hands-on experience with scripting and automation.
• Should have a working knowledge and hands-on experience with networking.
• Should have a working knowledge and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies.
• Should have a working knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud computing AWS, and Azure.
• Should have a working knowledge and hands-on experience with security products such as Firewalls, Cloud SASE, AV/EDR technologies.
• Should have a working knowledge and hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines.
• Should have a working knowledge of ITIL Processes and Agile working practices.
