BT Group is hiring for the role of Software Engineering Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Managing the teams of software engineers driving the engineering organization’s ability to deliver high-quality code on time and on budget and implementing means of bringing measurability as well as predictability to the engineering organization’s capabilities.
• Overseeing the execution of technical decisions, technology choices, and architecture for a wide range of high-performance products, capabilities, and platforms, effectively balancing short-term impact with long-term transformation.
• Monitoring, managing, and ensuring timely releases from teams by driving compliance with key release quality metrics.
• Consulting on complex and strategic issues using advanced technical knowledge, across wider industry and/or specific sectors, and developing bespoke or leading edge, technically complex solutions. (e.g., relating to new, untested technology and/or large-scale impact of products)
• Driving the implementation of the defined technical roadmap to meet the needs of the business, engineering team, and partner teams.
• Implementing and engineering metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or any other relevant field.
• At least 3 - 5 years of experience in Agile Development. (including SCRUM).
• Strong understanding of various software solutions like C#, C++, Java, Javascript, etc.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated qualities of leadership.
