Google is hiring for the role of Software Engineering III - Embedded!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Debug, track, and resolve system issues by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Manage systems development in C,C++.
- Manage networking/switching protocols, data path, and development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience with Kernel, Kernel Drivers, Networking, Device Drivers, and Debugging/Troubleshooting.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Expertise with the networking stack in the Linux kernel Experience with SmartNICs.
- Expertise in triage and debug issues, and troubleshooting systems.
- Expertise with the Linux kernel and/or network device drivers.
