Optum is hiring for the role of Software Engineer – Splunk!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and Maintain Dashboards: Create, update, and maintain Splunk dashboards to meet business requirements
• Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be visualized in dashboards
• Troubleshooting: Provide first-level support to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk dashboards
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to understand their data needs and translate them into effective Splunk dashboards
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for dashboards, including design specifications and user guides
• Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of Splunk dashboards to ensure quick load times and efficient data processing
• Training and Support: Assist users in understanding and utilizing Splunk dashboards effectively
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all dashboards comply with enterprise security policies and standards
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience with Splunk: Basic understanding and hands-on experience with Splunk, including creating dashboards and writing queries
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and data visualization tools
• Analytical Skills: Proven solid analytical skills to interpret data and create meaningful visualizations
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Splunk dashboards
• Communication Skills: Proven good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders
• Attention to Detail: Proven high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in dashboard creation
• Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
