Software Engineer - SONiC Development Job in Bangalore at Cisco

Cisco is hiring for the role of Software Engineer - SONiC Development!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Responsible for designing and developing SONiC manageability solutions, and collaborating with team members and other technical leads.
• You are hands-on and will build best-in-class products for Datacenter Enterprise customers and Service Providers.
• You'll be responsible for ensuring that the solution is secured, scalable, and meets customer SLAs.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with virtualization and container technologies e.g. Docker. Worked on Netconf/Yang, and distributed caches such as Redis.
• Adept in Go Lang and Python as coding languages.
• Hands-on work experience working with software data and control plane software, data structure, Linux user space/OS internals.
• Comfortable with networking technologies such as L2, L3, VLAN, Port Channel, LAG, VXLAN, Segment Routing, Authentication, etc.
• Experience in designing, modeling and testing of software. Exposure working with Opensource tools.
• Working knowledge of GitHub, Jira, Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Self-motivated and quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills, logical thinking, decent presentation skills but more importantly, the hunger to learn new technologies.
