Software Engineer (SONiC Development) Job in Bangalore at Cisco

Cisco is hiring for the role of Software Engineer (SONiC Development)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and develop SONiC manageability solution, collaborate with team members and other technical leads.
• Ensure that the solution is secured, scalable and meets customer SLAs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of software development experience, preferably in product companies with very good exposure on distributed architecture.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization and container technologies e.g. Docker. Worked on Netconf/Yang, distributed caches such as Redis.
• Adept in Go Lang and Python as coding language.
• Hands-on work experience working with software data and control plane software, data structure, Linux user space/OS internals.
• Comfortable with networking technologies such as L2, L3, VLAN, Port Channel, LAG, VXLAN, Segment Routing, Authentication etc.
• Experience in designing, modelling and testing of software. Exposure working with Opensource tools.
• Working knowledge of GitHub, Jira, Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Self-motivated and quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills, logical thinking, decent presentation skills but more importantly, the hunger to learn new technologies.
• If you have worked on SONiC program earlier, it is a huge plus.
