Mastercard is hiring for the position of Software Engineer - Security Automation

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Gather Requirements, Design, Develop, Test, Implement Security Automations using Python, other technologies via SOAR Tools
• Integrate new security tools and technologies with SOAR platform and enable automation workflows based on the integration
• Work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Security Engineering teams to improve existing automation and deliver resilient security solutions
• Assess, design, and improve SOC processes and workflows with a focus on integrating automation through Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) tools and technologies
• Implement new SOC automation and ensure continued compatibility with existing detection and response tools
• Build playbooks to triage and respond to security incidents while reducing the time needed to analyze each event
• Creating Use Case, Playbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documentation Identifying cyber security processes that can be improved through automation, and then working collaboratively with network security, engineering, product & infrastructure teams to build automated tasks for security appliances via API calls that Senior to practical process improvements and improve overall security effectiveness
• Develop custom scripts to automate current detection and response workflows
• Researching new security technologies and their applications to SIEM, SOAR, and cloud environments

Requirements:

• Bachelors in Engineering.
• Experience with Python scripting language for automation.
• Experience with PowerShell, bash, KQL queries, or other scripting languages desired.
• Experience building and working with a global team.
• Experience with operating system internals for Linux.
• Experience/Awareness with Cloud Security technologies AWS and Azure.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and/or high-pressure situations.
• Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly.
• Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Hold or able to gain one or more recognized security industry certifications like CISSP, Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin, Splunk Phantom Certified Admin, OSCP, AWS security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer.
