Qatar Airways is hiring for the role of Software Engineer: Production Support (Ahmedabad, India)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop high-quality and reliable code with unit test cases that meet the given specifications.
• Ensure the developed code covers the non-functional requirements, including performance, security, auditing, and integrity.
• Resolve production incidents or defects as needed, and proactively identify potential issues before they appear in the production environment; contribute to the root cause analysis.
• Work well within a team and always work for team success by supporting other team members, constructively acting on feedback, and identifying challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.
• Contribute to defining secure coding standards, and work in a team to follow best practices to ensure quality, scalability, and security of deliverables.
• Work closely with technology and business teams within an Agile/Scrum/CMMI model.
• Ensure complete adherence to defined architecture and design.
• Make sure that the written code follows all the coding and security standards.
• Ensure coding standards have been followed.
• Tackle challenges and have the ability to solve complex problems.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics/Sciences/Commerce or Equivalent with a minimum of 3 years and 2 years of job-related experience.
• Be ready to work in shifts.
• Be proficient in Spring projects (like Boots, Data JPA), Hibernate, and Oracle.
• Have expertise in development using Agile methodologies.
• Possess good communication and time management skills.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
• Have expertise in production support and resolution.
• Ensure 100% compliance with the defined process and SLA.
• Monitor critical integrity reports and take proactive action.
• Support users when critical activities are planned.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Ensure code is in compliance with the low-level design.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Perform unit testing.
• Possess knowledge of an airline's flight operations data domain (flight and crew-related domain) (advantageous).
• Have knowledge of JIRA and Azure DevOps boards and OpenShift (advantageous).
• Have knowledge of cloud-native application development (advantageous).
