Moody's is hiring for the role of Software Engineer - Middleware Messaging Tech!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, implement, and manage messaging solutions using Amazon MSK (Managed Streaming for Kafka), ActiveMQ, and Amazon SQS (Simple Queue Service).
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate messaging technologies into applications, ensuring reliable communication and data exchange across microservices and distributed systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize messaging infrastructures to achieve high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency.
• Develop and enforce best practices for messaging, including message schema design, message security, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of messaging technologies and tools to meet evolving business requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on messaging patterns, message-driven architectures, and event sourcing.
• Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in cloud messaging technologies, evaluating their applicability to our environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing messaging solutions using Amazon MSK, ActiveMQ, and Amazon SQS.
• Strong understanding of message queueing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS, including services related to computing, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex, distributed systems.
