Optum is hiring for the role of Software Engineer – Java Microservices & Cloud!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture
• Prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Review and debug code
• Perform validation, performance and verification testing
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Document development phases and monitor systems
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
• Ensure software is efficient and scalable
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).

Requirements:

• Experience in micro services development using Java 1.8., Spring REST & JPA Spring Boot MicroServices, Docker, Kubernetes & Azure, CI/CD Pipeline – Github JUnit, Splunk, Grafana
• Knowledge of Java 17/21, Spring boot, React, Angular JS, GraphQL, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
