Google is hiring for the role of Software Engineer III: Engineering Productivity, YouTube!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Build tools and infrastructure to enhance productivity, releases, and testing for YouTube’s App, including developing the YouTube components framework and dashboards, performance debugging and testing tools, metrics for test efficacy and effectiveness, and improving Bad Developer Days for the Main App.
• Collaborate closely with YouTube’s Premium and Commerce teams to design tooling that supports the expansion and scalability of YouTube’s subscriptions.
• Work in collaboration with various cross-functional teams and peers across engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and product teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2 years of experience in building developer tools that enhance developer velocity, code quality, and code health (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
• Experience in developing accessible technologies.
