JP Morgan is hiring for the role of Software Engineer II - React JS!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
• Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development.
• Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
• Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong experience in front-end development with extensive experience in React.js. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux or Flux).
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages. Familiarity with RESTful APIs. and with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript (ES6+). Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js).
